Hathras: In a shocking incident, two people were reportedly injured after a major accident took place on the Mathura-Bareilly highway on Thursday. The victims identified as Vimlesh Srivastava and Kushal Kumar were going to Mathura when their car collided with a pile of mud and crashed on the under-construction road.
According to reports, the accident happened due to wrong directions shown on Google Maps and the lack of sign board on the highway. Google Maps took them on a route that was not fully ready. Due to the road being under construction on the highway, both youths became victims of the tragic accident.
This accident occurred in the Hathras Junction police station area. Despite the ongoing construction work on the Mathura-Bareilly highway, there was no diversion board or warning sign, reports added.
Additionally, wrong information on Google Maps and the lack of safety measures on the road led to the major accident. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is said to be stable now.
