The Haryana government has officially announced winter holidays for all schools in the state, starting from January 1 to January 15, 2025. This decision comes as a response to the cold wave expected in the region during this period.

Details Of The Announcement
Duration: Schools will be closed for a total of 15 days, from January 1 to January 15, 2025. Classes will resume on January 16, 2025.
Applicability: The holiday applies to all types of schools, including government, private, and aided institutions across Haryana.
Special Provisions
During the winter break, students in classes 10 and 12 may still need to attend school for practical sessions as per the schedule set by their respective boards, such as CBSE and ICSE. This means that while most students enjoy their holidays, those preparing for board exams will have specific obligations.
Weather Considerations
The announcement is particularly timely given the drop in temperatures across Haryana, with minimum temperatures recorded between 4°C and 8°C in recent days. The cold weather has prompted many schools to adopt a hybrid model of education prior to this break, especially in areas like Gurugram and Faridabad.
This winter vacation provides students with a much-needed break amid the chilly weather conditions. Parents and students are advised to stay updated with any further announcements from their respective schools regarding schedules and any additional requirements during this holiday period.
