Haryana Assembly Election LIVE Updates: The Aam Aadmi Party has released its list of the first 20 candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections. The party has decided to go solo and will not contest in alliance with Congress.
The assembly elections are about to take place in J&K and Haryana, with poll campaigns gearing up and political parties making final lists of candidates. Elections are due in Haryana on October 5, with September 12 being the last day for filing nominations.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh said on Monday that the party is fully ready to contest the Haryana assembly elections and has already finalized its candidate selection process. Earlier, AAP Haryana president Sushil Gupta mentioned that if the AAP-Congress alliance isn't finalized by today, the party will release its list of candidates for all 90 seats by Monday evening.
Sanjay Singh said that Sandeep Pathak and Sushil Gupta are ready and have finished choosing their election seats. They will contest elections as soon as they get approval from Arvind Kejriwal. Singh also noted that AAP has a strong presence in Haryana but is short on time.
On September 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the BJP’s election campaign for the current assembly elections with a rally in Kurukshetra. Minister of State Subhash Sudha and former Karnal MP Sanjay Bhatia announced that the rally will take place at the Theme Park at 2 pm.
Congress made a final offer to AAP for an alliance in Haryana, with conditions on the number of seats and specific constituencies. Congress proposed giving AAP 4-6 seats instead of the 10 seats AAP initially wanted. AAP has delayed announcing its candidate list, indicating it might accept fewer seats. The final decision on the alliance will depend on whether AAP agrees to Congress’s terms.
