Baba Siddique, NCP leader and former MLA, was fatally shot in Bandra on Dussehra, hours after posting festive greetings on X.

Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddique was brutally shot to death in Bandra East Despite efforts to save him, He was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where, sadly, took his last breaths. The sudden and violent incident sent shock waves all over the entire city.

Siddique, known for his long political career, initially served as an MLA with the Congress party before switching to Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction earlier this year. His son, Zeeshan Siddique, currently holds the MLA seat for Bandra East, continuing the family’s political legacy.

The supporters and members of the party assembled outside the Lilavati Hospital just after news about the death of Siddique broke out, registering their protest and demanding prompt action against the culprits. The shooting took place on Dussehra, a festival that symbolizes the success of good over evil, and cast a pall over proceedings. Adding poignancy to the incident is Siddique’s last social media post, on X (formerly Twitter) at 11:11 AM on the same day-it was a “Happy Dussehra” wish to all.
