Varanasi: The hearing on a petition demanding worship of the Shivling found in Gyanvapi Masjid premises is going to be held on Saturday afternoon. The application was filed by Vishnu Gupta, the national president of the Vishwa Hindu Sena in the Gyanvapi case.

In the application filed in the court of Fast Track Senior Division Mahendra Pandey, a demand has been made for regular darshan-worship, describing the Shivling found during the survey of Gyanvapi campus as Avimukteshwar Mahadev. In this, along with the Anjuman Intejamiya Masajid Committee from the Muslim side, the government and local administration have been made respondents.

On May 16 this year, during the survey proceedings of the Advocate Commissioner, after a huge Shivling was found during the investigation in the Vazukhana, the court hurriedly sealed the place for the worship of Muslims. Since the sealing of Vajukhana, there is a demand from the Hindu side to worship and worship the Shivling found in the mosque.

The administration has been warned by various organizations about the worship of Shivling, even for demonstrations and agitations. In this case, the court has been hearing in the past on the application filed by Vishnu Gupta, the national president of Vishwa Hindu Sena. Now the Hindu side is waiting for the verdict on the court.

In this case, there has been a demand from the Muslim side to dismiss the case by calling the Shivling a fountain. At the same time, in the same case, the court has been demanding that the court should not have the right to hear the waqf property and dismiss the case.

In such a situation, the demand for worship of the Shivling found during the survey continues from the Hindu side. The court’s stand in this matter on Saturday will decide the direction of the case.
