Gwalior: In a shocking incident, a six-year-old boy was abducted by two men on a bike while on his way to school in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred on Thursday morning at CP Colony area under the jurisdiction of Morar police station. The boy was walked by his mother to the school bus stop when two men came on a bike and threw a powder like substance into her eyes.

After throwing the powder-like substance which is believed to be chili powder, the two men abducted the boy and fled from the spot. The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. In the video, two motorists are seen abducting a child. While one waits on a bike, the other carries the child after the mother falls down and flees the scene.Top of FormBottom of Form

Police were alerted about the incident, who registered a case and started a manhunt to catch the kidnappers. Additionally, a reward of Rs 30,000 has been announced for any information leading to their arrest.

What Did Police Say?

ANI quoted Inspector General of Police (Gwalior Range), Arvind Saxena who said, “The incident happened around 8 am on Thursday when a woman was taking her six-year-old son to the school bus stop. Suddenly, two men on a bike overpowered her, threw what seemed to be chilli powder into her eyes, and kidnapped the child.”

“We have registered a case and started an investigation. A Rs 30,000 reward has been announced for information on the accused,” he stated.

Saxena further stated that police are gathering information from the family and focusing their investigation on some leads received in the case. Efforts are underway to apprehend the accused at the earliest, stated the police.
