In a shocking incident, a mother and her paramour allegedly killed a 10-year-old boy in Assam’s Guwahati. The boy’s corpse was stuffed in a trolley bag, which the police recovered near Basistha temple.
Police detained both the accused
According to The Times of India, the accused has been identified as Depali Rajbongshi and her lover Jyotirmoy Haloi. The police have detained both the accused for allegedly committing the offence.
Accused stuffed the body into suitcase
A senior police officer said Depali and her partner allegedly killed the minor and stuffed his body into a trolley bag which was recovered from the spot.
Police: Mother’s behaviour was suspicious
The police said the boy’s mother lodged a complaint at Dispur police station, stating that her son did not return from tuition. The police said that the boy’s mother’s behavior was suspicious and during the probe, the lover confessed to the crime and took the police to the location of the suitcase.
‘Autopsy report will provide details’
The police and forensic team started collecting evidence. The senior cop said that the autopsy will be conducted on May 12. The reports will provide details of the time and cause of death, the senior police officer said.
Young woman killed, 4 others injured as bus hits bikers in Bhopal
In a separate incident, A young woman died while four others sustained injuries after a private bus hit multiple bikers waiting at a red signal at a square in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal on Monday, an official said.
The accident occurred at Banganga square under the jurisdiction of TT Nagar Police Station in the city. The two-wheelers were stopped due to a red signal and in the meantime, the bus arriving from the behind rammed into the bikes.
The bus dragged the bikers to some distance in which a woman died while four others got injured. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot, sent the injured to the district hospital and body to Hamidia Hospital for post mortem.
