New Delhi: The Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, Assam planned to operate more weekly flights for the summer schedule which will begin on the last Sunday of March and end on the last Sunday of October, the official said in a press release on Saturday.

LGBIA authority, in a statement, said that, if everything goes according to plan, the number of daily flights from the airport will hike from 63 to 72 during the summer period.
“New destinations likely to be added to the list of flights which include Bhubaneswar, Goa MOPA, Dehradun, Jodhpur and Coimbatore. Several fly routes will find additional flights via Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Lucknow and Kolkata”, the statement said.
According to information, the top three airlines which may have the highest weekly operations during the summer schedule are Indigo (203 flights), Air Asia (77 flights) and FlyBig (48). Additionally, Bhutan Airlines will be operational from 13th May onwards on weekly basis.
