A three-year-old girl was allegedly molested at a playschool. Police has formed SIT in this case, after the girl told her parents she was sexually harassed by staff member in washroom of private playschool. Parents held the demonstration outside playschool demanding the arrest of accused.
Case Registered Under POSCO Act
An FIR was registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) act at Sadar police station October 29 after the girl’s family filed the complaint.
National Commission for Protection of Childs Rights (NCPCR), issued a notice to Gurugram police commissioner and sought an ‘action-taken’ report in two days.
“Police has registered case in this matter. Police commissioner Vikar Kumar Arora has formed SIT to investigate the matter,” officials said.
Parents reached and protested outside the playschool. The playschool has not given any statement on the matter.
According to the complaint filed by the girl’s family, a delivery man came to girl’s house on October 28 and he caressed the girl’s hair after delivery the order. The girl then recounted the incident of bad touch to her mother which happened with her at playschool.
Police’s Statement On The Matter
According to the senior police officer, the girl couldn’t tell the name of accused. The officer further stated, that she also could not tell when and where the incident took place with her in playschool.
The spokesperson of Sandeep Kumar stated that “Gurugram Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora formed an SIT to investigate the matter. So far the identity of accused is unclear.
DCP (East) Mayank Gupta stated that, “we have collected CCTV footage of the school and are reviewing the same. We have formed an SIT under the supervision of ACP (Sadar). Crime teams and the Cyber Crime unit have been engaged to identify the accused and interrogate the suspects. The girl is being counselled professionally”.
