Gurugram Police Mandates Hotel Registration On CCTNS To Curb Crime: Here’s How To Register

Any guest information entered by the hotel into CCTNS is updated in real time at the local police office.

In a move to “prevent crime committed from within hotel premises and identify and monitor suspicious individuals easily”, Gurugram Police Commissioner Vikas Arora has directed all local police station heads to ensure that hotel owners/operators in Gurugram register their hotels on the Haryana Police website and regularly update guest details.

As quoted by Mint, Gurugram police mentioned, “Police station SHOs have also been instructed to take strict action in accordance with the law against any hotel owner/operator who fails to register or does not submit guest information after registration.”

As quoted by Livemint, Gurugram ASI Sandeep Kumar mentioned, “The order has been sent to hotels in the district and it has been implemented from today.”

Police noted that hotel owners and operators need to register on the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) or they will be liable for legal action. Any guest information entered by the hotel into CCTNS is updated in real time at the local police office.

How Hotel Owners Can Register On CCTNS?

The hotel owners can register on CCTNS by following these steps:

In the first step, one needs to click on the Citizen Services.
After this, you need to proceed to the Citizen login.
Then you need to verify the mobile number.
Once verification is done, you need to select General Service, then you need to click on Validation of Owners of Hotel and Customers registered.
After this step, the hotel owners must fill in the details asked, name, mobile number, address, and any identity proof.
Once this is done, the hotel gets registered on CCTNS.
