New Delhi: IMD has issued an orange alert for June 14 and a red alert for June 15 in all districts of Gujarat ahead of Biparjoy Strom. According to the information, Section 144 (prohibition of gathering of four or more people) has been imposed in the coastal areas of Kutch, Gujarat, on June 15 because of the seriousness of Cyclone Biparjoy. All schools have been ordered closed.
It has been said by the administration that Section 144 will remain in force until June 16. Along with this, the Kandla port will be evacuated before June 15.
NDRF said that as a precaution due to the cyclone, it has deployed two more teams in addition to Mumbai and four teams to Gujarat, as Cyclone Biperjoy is expected to make a greater impact there. Also, our teams are ready in Pune.

Apart from this, IMD issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and Thane. Meteorologists say that Cyclone Biparjoy is about 500–600 km from Mumbai. Weather experts say that the cyclone will not have any direct impact on Mumbai. An increase in rain and wind speed can be seen here.
On the other hand, in view of the cyclonic storm situation in Gujarat on June 15, several state ministers have been assigned the responsibility of different districts. Ministers Hrishikesh Patel and Prafulla Pansuria will handle the Kutch region; Harsh Shanghvi will be in Devbhoomi Dwarka; and Mulu Bera will be given the responsibility of Jamnagar.

IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said that the cyclone is moving in the north direction at a speed of 5 km per hour and will change its direction after June 14. A very severe cyclonic storm with a wind speed of 125–135 kmph is very likely to hit the Saurashtra, Kutch, and Pakistan coasts on June 15 afternoon. Saurashtra and Kutch will receive heavy rains on June 14–15.
