A 27-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide by hanging herself in Gujarat, Banaskantha, on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, said police, adding that she recorded a video in which she apologized to her male friend.
“Forgive me, I am choosing a step without asking you. Don’t be sad. Stay happy and enjoy life,” said said in a video, adding that “I apologize; if you are happy, my soul will find peace.”
Police said the deceased was identified as Radha Thakor, who was separated from her husband, used to run a beauty parlor, and resided with her sister.
“On Monday morning, when her sister Alka approached her room, she was found hanging. When she checked her phone, she found videos that were recorded before taking extreme steps,” said police.
Police are trying to find out the reason behind the woman’s death by suicide and why she apologised in her videos. In their last recorded conversation, Radha is heard asking the man for a photograph. Her family has said that she had been asking the man for a photograph, but he was not sending it. In the recorded call, she is heard saying, “See what happens if I don’t get the photo by 7 o’clock.”
The family has filed a complaint against the unidentified man. Police investigation also revealed that Radha was talking about some video and asking the man to send her. Her mobile phone was seized for further investigation.
Bengaluru Techie Suicide Case
Atul Subhash dowry case was filed at The Jaunpur court in Uttar Pradesh, and according to reports, his wife was demanding over a crore to settle the case.
Following the nation wide outcry, Bengaluru police arrested the suspect’s wife, her mother, and her brother for alleged involvement in the techie’s death. They were booked on charges of causing death by negligence.
