Gujarat swearing-in event: Leaders from various BJP-led states, as well as Union Ministers, have already arrived at the venue for Bhupendra Patel's oath taking ceremony.
Bhupendra Patel, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, will take the oath of office as Gujarat Chief Minister for the second time today in Gandhinagar. Governor Acharya Devvrat will administer the oath of office to Patel as the 18th Chief Minister at 2 p.m. at the Helipad Ground near the new Secretariat in Gandhinagar.
"We've come here to celebrate Gujarat's victory," Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio told reporters at the airport. We are very confident of winning the elections in Nagaland as a team."
"The Gujarat result will be repeated (in Karnataka). Gujarat's victory sends a message to all state governments that if you do development work then pro-incumbency can happen," said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai.

BJP leaders Harsh Shanghvi and Jagdish Vishwakarma took oath as ministers in the Gujarat cabinet.
The family of Gujarat Chief Minister-designate Bhupendra Patel arrived in Gandhinagar to attend his swearing-in ceremony.
Yogi Adityanath, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, BJP National President J P Nadda, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Union Minister Smriti Irani have already arrived at the venue.
According to sources, approximately 20 cabinet ministers will also take the oath on the same day as Bhupendra Patel and will take charge of their respective offices the following day.

The BJP swept the Gujarat Assembly election, taking 156 seats, the most any party has won since the state was formed in 1960.
The BJP's seventh consecutive Assembly election victory in Gujarat is its largest since the state's inception in 1960.
On September 13, 2021, Patel was sworn in as Gujarat's 17th Chief Minister. On September 12, 2021, he was elected for the first time as the BJP legislative party leader. In the 2017 Gujarat assembly elections, he was elected as MLA from Ghatlodia constituency (Ahmedabad) after beginning his political career as a member of Memnagar municipality.
In the 2022 election, Patel broke his own record by winning from the Ghatlodia constituency by a staggering margin of 1,91,000 votes.
