Seven men allegedly raped a 20-year-old college student in Gujarat’s Palanpur. The men raped her for 16 months after they blackmailed her with a nude video.
As per reports, the woman was befriended by one of the six accused over Instagram. She had joined a college in Palanpur.
The accused asked her to meet at a hotel over breakfast. The accused deliberately spilled food on her clothes and asked her to clean it in the washroom.
When she was cleaning her dress, the accused, Vishal Chaudhary, allegedly barged into the bathroom and filmed her. He threatened her to post the video on social media, the FIR said.
The accused used the clip and forced her to have a physical relationship with him. Later, he introduced her to his six friends and compelled her to have sexual relations with them at different locations. They physically assaulted her between November 2023 and February 2025, mentioned in the FIR.
The police have registered a case under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rape and criminal intimidation. The police also registered a case under section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
