Prime Minister Narendra Modi has continued the streak of Diwali Celebration with jawans. This year, he celebrated Diwali with Indian Army jawans in Kachchh district of Gujarat. He offered sweets to the jawans and interacted with them. As a part of celebration, he addressed the jawans and called the opportunity to celebrate Diwali with them as the ‘biggest happiness.’ “Getting an opportunity to celebrate the festival of Diwali with the jawans is the biggest happiness…I extend my best wishes to you all,” said PM Modi.
PM Modi extended his heartfelt Diwali wishes to all the Army personnel posted across the country. He further said that his Diwali celebration double up whenever he celebrates with the Jawans.
In his speech, Prime Minister mentioned that right now there is a government in the country which doesn’t compromise with even an inch of the country’s land. “There is such a government in this country that cannot compromise with even an inch of the country’s land,” said.

PM Lauds Indian Armed Forces
He also talked about strengthening security forces of the country by equipping them with modern weapons. He said, “Keeping in mind the needs of the twenty-first century, today we are equipping our armies, our security forces, with modern resources. We are putting our Army in the league of the world’s most modern military forces. The basis of these efforts of ours is self-reliance in the defence sector.”
PM Modi talked about strength and bravery of Indian Armed Forces and said, “We see 1 Army, 1 Air Force and 1 Navy. But when they have joint exercises we see them as 111.”
