“When the flight was on its way to Hyderabad from Madinah, someone sent an email to IndiGo claiming that a bomb had been planted on the aircraft. Since Ahmedabad was the closest airport, the pilot decided to land here as a precautionary measure,” Zone 4 DCP Atul Bansal told PTI. According to reports, security agencies ran thorough checks, but no suspicious object was found in the aircraft during the initial search.

The software update in Airbus is causing these glitches, so their schedule has changed… IndiGo isn’t taking any care of its customers… I missed my connecting flight due to the delay… I tried calling the Aviation Ministry, but no one answered.

Another passenger, Jumman Ali Khan, said, “My brother passed away yesterday… The ticket prices are Rs 36,000, Rs 38,000, and Rs 40,000. But we are poor. His parents are sitting here… We are not even getting a flight… The parents are not able to go…”

The bomb threat was received via an email at the Delhi airport, News18 reported. It warned of a ‘human bomb,’ triggering concerns among the flight authorities and passengers. Security teams and emergency responders were kept on standby at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for the flight’s emergency landing.
