New Delhi: With the rain gushing in Gujarat, several shocking reports have come in forth, leading to serious concerns. In the latest, a video showed gas cylinders being floating and swept away in Navsari.
Gujarat’s Navsari and Junagarh are among the district that have been severely affected by the recent downpour. The district recorded 943 mm of rainfall so far.
However, the video showing gas cylinders being flushed away is doing rounds on the social media putting the safety of locals in question. Not just that but the life of cattle were also seen in danger.

Cattle Washes Away in Junagarh
In shocking scenes from Gujarat’s Junagarh, video came forward where buffaloes were seen washed away in the rainfall on submerged roads. Meanwhile in other reports, cars were seen soaking water in the parking lot.
People in several parts of Gujarat were seen wading through deep-chested water. Many of them were rescued by volunteers.
Rain lashes out in Maharashtra, Orange alert issued
Meanwhile, the rescue operations have launched as authorities try to shift people from low-lying areas to safer places. The state administration have requested people to take precautionary measures and to contact the control room in case of any emergency.
They have been also asked to avoid visiting dams and nearby areas.
Meanwhile the adjacent state of Gujarat, Maharashtra, is also reeling under flood-like situation. Following which, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has asked the state to be vigilant.
It has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated areas in Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts for Sunday.
Rescue operations are on in the state. In one of the incidents, the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out an operation in Yavatmal on Saturday to rescue people stranded in Anand Nagar village due to a flood.
