Gujarat: In a shocking incident that took place on Saturday, four members of a family of five reportedly died in Vadali village in the Sabarkantha district of Gujarat. According to reports, they took the extreme step after allegedly being harassed by moneylenders. One of the deceased, identified as 42-year-old Vinu Sagar Zundala, and his 40-year-old wife died Saturday night. Reports stated that they consumed a poisonous substance.
Meanwhile, their two sons, believed to be teenagers, later succumbed. The other eldest sibling is currently fighting for his life at a hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that the family was harassed by moneylenders. Following the disturbing incident, a huge number of community members reached the Vadali police station. They raised their concerns and demanded strict action against those involved.
Bengaluru Techie Attempts Suicide Near Governor’s Residence
In another shocking incident, a software engineer attempted suicide near the Governor’s residence in Bengaluru. The techie alleged that he took the extreme step as he was unable to bear the torture of his wife. He has been identified as Junaid Ahmad, a resident of Chikkaballapur district in Karnataka. The incident took place on Sunday. Police stated that he tried to kill himself by pouring petrol and attempted to set himself ablaze. Junaid claimed that he was being tortured by his wife.
What Did Police Say?
According to the police, Junaid alleged that his wife had lodged a false dowry case and many more cases against him. He further added that he had gone to register a complaint with the Chikkaballapur police station, but they refused to file his complaint.
