Several schools in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad received a bomb threat on Monday that prompted the authorities to rush to the schools and conduct searches.

A senior police officer said that around 10 schools received a bomb threat in Ahmedabad, and police teams rushed to carry out searches. The senior cop said that no suspicious object was found on school campuses and a holiday was declared for the afternoon shift.
DCP: 'Schools have suspended their afternoon sessions'
DCP Zone 1, Dr Harshad Patel said, “Nearly 10 schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threat mails, under which, the senior officers of city police, local police station incharge and other teams are investigating various schools... Suspicious material has not been found yet in any of the schools... The schools have suspended or postponed their afternoon sessions. Other schools are also investigating their premises through security... The origin of the mail is being investigated by the cybercrime unit of Ahmedabad police... AS check has been cleared in most of the schools by the BDDS and it will be cleared soon in the rest."
