BJP ward level leader died by allegedly committing suicide . BJP leader Deepika Patel was the president of BJP Mahila Morcha of Ward No. 30 in Althan of Surat city.
According to media reports, the 34-year-old BJP woman leader Deepika Patel has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house. But family members of Deepika has expressed suspicion of her murder.
She died at her home located in Bhimrad village which comes under the Althan police station. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, as per media reports.
As the news regarding alleged suicide of the BJP leader was received, the team of police reached the at spot. BJP leader Deepika Patel’s body has been sent for postmortem by the police. However, the relatives of the deceased BJP leader alleged that it was a murder.
As per media reports, Dipika made a distress call to a BJP councillor and taking step of committing suicide. Her children were there at home during the time of incident. And her husband was at work during the time of incident, as per reports.
The investigation in this matter is underway. The reasons for which BJP leader Deepika Patel committed suicide are not yet known. Meanwhile, a relative of the deceased said that Deepika was a BJP worker for a long time and was also doing social service, as per reports.
