Uttar Pradesh: The police have arrested a woman from Bijnor for allegedly killing her four-year-old son. According to authorities, Aadesh Devi cut the child’s throat and tried to burn the body on a stove in their home.
Devi’s husband, Kapil Kumar, discovered their son dead when he returned home from work. He was shocked and devastated, and promptly called family members for assistance.
Kumar reported the horrifying incident to the police. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ram Arj and Circle Officer Chandpur Bharat Sonkar arrived at the location, where they sent the child’s body for post-mortem and filed a murder case against Devi following Kumar’s complaint.
Despite police attempts to question her, Devi stayed silent. Meanwhile, her brother told the police that she is “mentally unstable.” Further investigation is ongoing.
Officials in Nagpur, Maharashtra, reported that a woman allegedly killed her three-year-old daughter after arguing with her husband. She then carried the body around 4 km on the streets before notifying the police about what had happened.
