Noida: A fire broke out in the fields in Dadupur village in Greater Noida on Monday morning. In this accident, 20 bighas (approx 12 acres) of crops of 6 farmers were burnt to ashes. The villagers attempted to put out the fire but were unsuccessful. Villager Indraraj Nagar stated that he arrived at the scene with other locals after noticing smoke coming from the fields in the morning. By then the fire had taken a terrible form.
Delayed Response From Fire Brigade Sparks Concerns
The fire brigade was informed, but the fire engine could not reach on time. Villagers say that due to the fire brigade office being far away from the rural area, there is a heavy loss in such incidents. It takes a lot of time for fire engines to reach Greater Noida. Kotwali in-charge Munendra Singh said that the cause of the fire is being investigated. The cause of the fire has not been clear yet.
