GRAP-IV restrictions lifted in Delhi as AQI readings reflect improvement

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Wednesday revoked pollution curbs in Delhi as the Air quality levels fell to the ‘poor category.’ The Air quality has showcased an improvement over before, when the air quality was in the severe category

Announcing the decision through its latest notification, the commission announced that the subcommittee of the Air Quality Management has witnessed an improvement in the air quality since last night. As a result, it decided to withdraw the restriction under Grap IV, which is considered the strictest anti- pollution measure.

"AQI of Delhi has shown significant improvement since last night owing to high winds and favourable meteorological conditions, and has been recorded as 271 ("poor" category) on 24/12/2025. The air quality forecast provided by IMD/ IlTMsuggests an increase in AQI in Delhi due to slower winds in the coming days," the Commission mentioned.
