The air quality in Delhi has gotten worse, with the AQI rising from 431 at 4 PM to 441 at 6 PM. Calm winds and stable weather have stopped the pollutants from spreading, making the air more polluted.
To tackle this, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) Sub-Committee on GRAP has decided to enforce Stage-IV measures for ‘Severe+’ air quality (AQI above 450) across the entire NCR. These actions are in addition to the ongoing Stage I to III measures.
Authorities and pollution control agencies have been asked to take extra steps to prevent the air from getting even worse.
If you live in Delhi or nearby areas, monitoring the air quality is important.
