New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday aimed at the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central govenment over the latter’s approach to deal with China’s alleged land grab of Indian territory.
On the culmination eve of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi said, “The approach government is following by completely denying that the Chinese have taken our land is dangerous and it will give them more confidence to do more aggressive things.”
“We have to deal with the Chinese firmly and tell them they are sitting on our land, will not be tolerated,” he added.
During a media interaction in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar, Gandhi said, “Bharat Jodo Yatra received a great response in the country.”

He said, “We saw the resilience and strength of the people of India during this journey. We also got to hear about the issues being faced by farmers, and unemployed youth in the country.”
The Bharat Jodo Yatra will be concluded on January 30 at the Sher-e-Kashmir Maidan in Srinagar.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said there will be a conference of all 23 opposition parties on January 30 and that will be the last function.
Earlier in the day, the caravan of the Congress stopped at the Lal Chawk in Srinagar where the former party chief unfurled the Tricolour. Rahul Gandhi was given 3-tier security protection in Kashmir Valley today by Jammu and Kashmir Police.

In view of the security drill, all the roads leading to the Lal Chawk was sealed last night already as well as vehicular movement was disallowed.
