New Delhi: As the innumerable crowd of devotees arising for the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, the government has banned the online and offline registration of Kedarnath till June 3. Earlier, the registration process was stopped due to the weather.
According to the information, so far, 38 lakh passengers have registered for the Chardham Yatra, and more than 17 lakh devotees have visited. Till May 29, 13 lakh pilgrims have registered for Kedarnath Dham, 11.21 lakh for Badrinath Dham, 6.24 lakh for Yamunotri, 6.79 lakh for Gangotri, and 74 thousand for Hemkund Sahib.
According to officials of the Char Dham Yatra Management, this time a huge crowd of pilgrims is visiting the Char Dhams, and because of that, people are facing traffic jams at various places on the travel route. Although all kinds of arrangements were made by the government in the past, due to the increase in the crowd, the situation is becoming uncontrollable.
The government has banned the new registration for Kedarnath Dham till June 3 and informed that the passengers who have registered will be sent forward intermittently at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tapovan, Vyasi, Srinagar, and Rudraprayag, but the registration process is expected to resume only after the number of passengers is brought under control.
