An online facility has been provided to update mobile numbers on the portal,” it noted.

How To Update (Step-By-Step Process):

  • Visit parivahan.gov.in.
  • Select “Update Mobile Number via Aadhaar.”
  • Enter your Vehicle Registration Number and Chassis/Engine Number.
  • Authenticate using Aadhaar OTP.
  • Confirm the update.

State transport departments have also been sending alerts to DL holders and vehicle owners, reminding them to update their information. Both the Centre and state transport departments have been organizing campaigns for those who change phone numbers and addresses to save themselves from paying fines.
