Free Air Travel for Senior Citizens : senior citizens have always been the government’s priority. Centre and state governments run many schemes , in which they are getting better facilities as compared to common people. Now, the Madhya Pradesh state government has announced free air travel for senior citizens. MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that senior citizens of the state will have the option to travel to pilgrimage from next month under a government scheme. He made this Special announcement on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas in Bhind district. he was in Bhind to launch multiple development projects.
Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme for senior citizen
CM shivraj singh chauhan announced The birthplace of Saint Ravidas will also be included in this scheme named Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana’, eligible senior citizens above the age of 60 years can travel to any listed pilgrim place on government expenses. Senior citizens can opt for Air travel also.
CM launched development project for Bhind district
Addressing the gathering, the chief minister said that Bhind will be upgraded to a municipal corporation which currently has a municipal council and the city would also get a medical college. The CM stated that ‘Vikas Yatra’ will visit all wards and villages of the state and felicitate benefits of government schemes to marginalised eligible candidates.
This year Madhya Pradesh will have Vidhan sabha election, that is why the incumbent government does not want to leave any stone unturned to lure the people.
