India is having many expressway projects underway and some of them are going to get implemented this year. One such project is the Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway. This route will connect Gorakhpur to Shamli in Uttar Pradesh.
About The Project
The length of the expressway will be 700-Km. It will have 6 lane. It will cross 22 districts and 37 tehsils in Uttar Pradesh. Right now the people of Western UP travel using the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to reach Eastern UP. The whole journey will be completed in 6 hours.
Not only this but the route will reduce the travel time. A consultant has been appointed by the National Highway Authority of ndia for making of Detailed Project Report.

Benefits From The Project
This route will enhance connectivity in the state. It will join the eastern Uttar Pradesh to the Western Uttar Pradesh. The construction work of this route is to begin soon. Once this route gets open to public it will enhance the connectivity. It will reduce the travel distance by 200-Kilometers. It will benefit people of state as it will boost tourism and economy of the state.
About Connectivity
The route will cross Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Bahraich, Rampur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Sambhal, Bijnor, Meerut, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Amroha.
