Good News! Rain Expected In Delhi Today, Showers Likely In Punjab, Haryana, And Other States: Latest IMD Update

Delhi-NCR has seen consistent overcast skies, bringing relief from heat but increased humidity. Monsoon is expected today, with heavy rain forecasted in several states including Delhi, UP, Kerala, and Haryana.

Delhi-NCR Rain Alert: For the past seven days, the capital city of Delhi has been consistently overcast. This change in weather has brought relief from the scorching heat. Now, people can go outside at any time without being troubled by the intense heat. However, the humidity has been causing discomfort as it has only drizzled occasionally in a few places over the past week. The pre-monsoon rains in Delhi-NCR have not been as significant as in other states.

The weather department has forecasted rain today in Delhi-NCR and several other states. According to the department, the monsoon might reach some areas of NCR today. A western disturbance has caused changes in Delhi’s weather. The weather department has predicted light rain and drizzle along with strong winds in the capital over the next few days. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi could remain around 34 degrees in the coming days.

Monsoon to Arrive in Delhi

According to the weather department, the monsoon may arrive in Delhi today. Private weather agency Skymet suggests that the monsoon could enter Delhi between June 27 and 29. The weather department has predicted overcast skies, light rain, and winds blowing at a speed of 25-35 km/h today. Consequently, a yellow alert has been issued for the next three days in the capital.

Heavy Rainfall Expected in These States

Heavy rainfall is likely in Western UP and Eastern UP from June 27 to June 29. Additionally, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi are also expected to experience heavy rain. Apart from these states, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, and Nagaland are likely to see heavy rainfall as well.

Monsoon from the Arabian Sea to Soak Entire India

According to the weather department, over the next 3-4 days, the southwest monsoon will create favorable conditions in northern Arabian Sea, parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, western parts of Rajasthan, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, eastern and western UP, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Punjab-Haryana.
