There is a big update on the proposed film city in Noida. The dream project of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath could be completed in the next 8 years. The chief minister had announced plans to build the Film City on September 18, 2020, but the work has yet to start. Land has been identified for the proposed project which is located near the Yamuna Expressway. The distance of the site is 15 minutes away from Noida airport.

International Film City will be built in 1000 acres

At present, the vacant land features a signboard of proposed film City which will be constructed on 1000 acres with an investment of Rs 1510 crore. The film city will have replicas of Varanasi ghats, Taj Mahal and other historic places for shooting. Beside this, foreign location will also be built within the film city. According to Yamuna Authority CEO, Arun Veer Singh, the construction work of Film City is likely to start by the end of April or May. 

Work of first phase will start soon 

It is said that the Film City will be the second largest in the country after Hydearbad’s Ramoji film City. At the proposed site, high quality sets will be built for Bollywood and Hollywood films. The Yamuna Authority CEO said the construction work for the first phase would start soon. 

Distance of Proposed Film city from Delhi-Noida border is 55 Km

According to reports, the distance of the proposed film city is 55 Kilometres from Delhi-Noida border. Sector 21 is situated along the service road of the Yamuna Expressway, connecting Greater Noida to Agra. The vacant land is fenced with wires at the entry point. As per Google map, the Noida airport is just 15 minutes away from the location. The distance of Delhi Airport can be covered in around one-and-a-half-hour to two hours from the Film City location.
