The Civil Aviation minister said that the work is going on to make airport travel more affordable and inclusive as the aviation sector in India is witnessing exponentially growth and employment opportunities.

Airports across the globe are known for their sky-high prices for food, snacks, and beverages, leaving passengers frustrated and looking for alternatives. However, there is an airport in India offering tea for just Rs 10 and samosas for Rs 20. Yes, the Udan Yatri Cafe at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata is providing this facility.

Earlier in December 2024, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated the cafe at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. This cafe offers a variety of items at reasonable prices, including samosas, the sweet of the day, tea, and coffee. The Ministry of Civil Aviation started the Udan Yatri Cafe to address the issue of overpriced food and beverages at airports.
