Goa Nightclub fire: A video of the deadly nightclub fire is surfacing online, showing how it started and spread to engulf the entire building, killing 25 people. The fire broke out around midnight at Birch by Romeo Lane, a club in Baga, one of Goa’s most popular beaches, following a suspected cylinder blast. Police said most of the victims appeared to be staff members. In the video, we could see a fire starting from a portion of the roof and then slowly spreading to the entire roof, engulfing the building.

About the footage

The footage, which emerged, shows an electronic firecracker being set off during a belly dance and live music performance, moments before sparks shot up and reached the bamboo-lined ceiling of the club. We can also see that within seconds, flames began to spread rapidly across the upper structure.

Earlier, it was believed that a cylinder blast caused the fire. However, police later confirmed that the blaze was triggered by sparks from an electronic firecracker. This new video closely matches another clip that surfaced on Sunday from a different angle.
