Goa Police said the Luthra brothers left for Phuket, Thailand, on an IndiGo flight just hours after the deadly fire at their Arpora establishment, which killed 25 people.
Goa Nightclub Fire Live: A late-night fire at a popular nightclub in Goa on Saturday claimed 25 lives and left several others injured. Officials say most victims died due to suffocation after becoming trapped inside the club’s basement. The blaze reportedly began on the first floor before spreading rapidly through the entire building.
What Caused the Goa Night Club Fire?
Investigators say the fire started during a belly dance performance when an electronic firecracker was set off. The spark shot upward and landed on the club’s temporary bamboo and palm-leaf roof, which instantly caught fire. Within seconds, the flames spread across the structure, leaving guests and staff with little time to escape. Fire officials believe the use of fireworks inside the venue played a major role in the fast-moving blaze.
Where Are the Nightclub Owners, the Luthra Brothers?
The nightclub, Birch By Romeo Lane, is owned by the Luthra brothers, who are currently missing. Police say they are searching for them for questioning as part of the investigation.
Ajay Gupta, co-owner of ‘Birch’ by Romeo Lane in Goa site of the tragic fire that killed 25 people was arrested on Tuesday after admitting himself to the Institute of Brain and Spine, Lajpat Nagar, Delhi.
