Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder Case: The post-mortem report of the trainee doctor revealed that she died from strangulation. The report showed that her thyroid cartilage broke due to choking, and a deep wound in her private parts suggested ‘perverted sexuality’ and ‘genital torture,’ sources said. While the exact time of the crime remains unconfirmed, sources believe it occurred between 3 am and 5 am on August 9.
Autopsy Reveals Grim Details Of Attack
Injuries were discovered on the victim’s abdomen, lips, fingers, and left leg. Sources revealed that the perpetrator clamped the victim’s nose and mouth, pressing her head against a wall to silence her screams.
The offender’s fingernails caused the scratch marks on the woman’s face, indicating she fought violently to defend herself from the attack.
The postmortem report showed that someone pressed her mouth and throat intermittently to silence her cries. They strangled her, which led to suffocation and fractured her thyroid cartilage.
The report also mentioned that the woman bled from her eyes, mouth, and private parts, but the cause of the eye wounds remains undetermined.
