Gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed on Wednesday has been taken to Sabarmati Central Jail in Gujarat, a senior police official said. The Prayagraj Court on Tuesday sentenced rigorous life imprisonment to Atiq in 2006 Umesh Pal abduction and murder case.
Police cavalcade with Gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed left for Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat, hours after the court has announced his punishment.
The family of Umesh Pal hailed the UP Court’s judgement of giving life time imprisionment to the Mafia-turned politician Atiq in advocate’s abduction and murder case.
Umesh Pal mother said that she had a great in chief minister Yogi Adityanath and the court.
According to ADG, Prasant Kumar, in the last 6 years, it is said that UP government showed zero tolrance policy towars crimes and criminals.
Atiq halted at Anantapur police station in Kota
According to news agency ANI, around Wednesday morning, the STF convoy stopped at Anantapur police station in Kota, Rajasthan. During this, Atiq was taken inside the police station for freshening in the circle of police personnel. A video of Atiq Ahmed in the police station has been released by ANI.

Tight security arrangement
It is cleared from the ANI video, tight security arrangements have been made for Atiq Ahmed. The police personnel has allowed Atiq to attend nature’s call and asked him to unlock the door from inside. The gangster is under the Stirct vigil of police.

Atiq Ahmad, a former Samajwadi party Member of Parliament, was shifted to Sabarmati Central Jail in June 2019 following an order of the Supreme court after UP police accused him of planning the kidnapping and assault of a businessman Mohit Jaiswal from prison in Uttar Pradesh.
