Ganga Expressway: UP Government’s Major Decision! THESE 2 Districts To Get Direct Benefit From This Route-Know In Detail

The expansion of this expressway will extend all the way to Haridwar.

The budget from the state government presents the Ganga Expressway as the largest-ever gift to the Muzaffarnagar district. The construction of the Ganga Expressway is progressing along its development route between Meerut and Prayagraj, with plans to extend it all the way to Haridwar. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s clarification in the House regarding the connection of the Ganga Expressway to Shuktirtha in Muzaffarnagar and Vidur Kuti in Bijnor confirms that the expressway will drive economic development across the Meerapur, Ramraj, Bhopa, and Morna regions.

The Ganga Expressway’s development process currently involves field surveys of the area. An additional Rs 50 crore has been allocated in the current budget. The expressway will be constructed along the banks of the Ganga River, as per the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Project alignment decisions will only be made upon the completion of the survey, as reported by Jagran.

Both pilgrimage sites function independently of each other because Shuktirtha is located on the right bank of the Ganga River in Muzaffarnagar district, while Vidur Kuti is situated near Daraganjnagar on the left bank in Bijnor. Presently, Shuktirtha and Vidur Kuti are 45 kilometers apart. The government plans to connect these sacred sites through the construction of the Ganga Expressway.
