Ganderbal Attack: AK-47, M4 Carbine – CCTV Footage Of Armed Attackers Surfaces

One of the two attackers who carried deadly attack in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on 20 October has been captured in CCTV footage. The photos have surfaced online and the attacker can be seen holding AK series rifle with blue tag. As reported by WION, rifle carried by the man resembles the weapons which was used in earlier attacks in the South Pir Panjal area. It is said that the arm carried by the attackers are US-made M4 carbine and an AK-47. The two attackers had spent seven minutes at workers’ camp in Ganderbal as per the CCTV footage.

As per reports, the similarity of the weapon has raised concern about political links between the incidents and it could indicate a pattern in the armaments used by the terrorists. The Indian Express reported that there was no CCTV camera installation at the place they first opened fire, however CCTV footage has captured the location they moved next and the two men can be seen entering and opening fire. It is revealed that they had attacked the mess before targeting more workers later.
