Bengaluru: On August 15, an irate crowd in Nelamangala, Bengaluru, took drastic action against individuals performing dangerous stunts on a flyover. The stunts had been disrupting traffic and endangering commuters. In their frustration, the crowd hurled two scooters off the flyover onto the road below, while the stunt performers managed to escape.

Police Action and Investigation
The Bengaluru police took note of the incident after a video of it went viral. They have since filed approximately 34 cases against 36 individuals, including both the stunt performers and those who threw the scooters. The charges are related to endangering public safety.

Discovery and Formal Complaint
Traffic police in Nelamangala found two damaged scooters on the road on the day of the incident. Initially, the scooters were taken to the police station without a formal complaint, as the owners did not come forward. However, after the video of the incident circulated, the police contacted the vehicle owners and have since filed a formal complaint based on the applicable legal provisions.
While social media users have reported that police complaints have been lodged with the Nelamangala authorities against both the stunt bikers and those who were thrown off the scooter. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
