Jammu and Kashmir: The enchanting landscapes of Kashmir have once again been transformed as higher elevations, including the renowned ski resort Gulmarg and the picturesque Gurez Valley, received a fresh blanket of snow this morning. This recent snowfall has not only enhanced the region’s beauty but has also plunged temperatures in the plains, prompting residents to don warmer clothing.
According to Farooq Ahmad, an official from the Meteorological Department, approximately two inches of snow have accumulated in Gulmarg since early morning, with similar conditions reported in Gurez Valley. The snowfall has also affected other high-altitude areas such as Zojila Pass, Sinthan Pass, Doodhpatri, Peer Ki Gali, and Razdan Top.
While winter enthusiasts may revel in the winter wonderland, the weather office has indicated that conditions are expected to improve by tomorrow afternoon. A forecast suggests a period of generally dry weather from November 17 to 23, with light rain and snow anticipated in isolated higher reaches on November 24.
