Former Chief Minister of Karnataka and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader BS Yediyurappa on Friday has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl, according to the reports.

Who Filed The Complaint?
The mother of a 17-year-old girl filed a complaint, accusing the senior BJP leader of sexual assault during a meeting on February 2nd. As a result, the police filed a case against the ex-chief minister of Karnataka under the POCSO Act for sexual assault and section 354 A for sexual harassment. As of now, Yediyurappa has not said anything in public.
What Did The Karnataka Home Minister Say On This?
While speaking to the media the state’s Home Minister G Parameshwara said that – on Thursday around 10 pm, a lady registered a complaint against BS Yediyurappa.He further added that until everybody knows the truth, anything cannot be revealed.
The home minister also said it was a sensitive matter and people should not find any politics in it.
