Former IAS Officer Chandrashekhar Dwivedi’s Wife Uma Rani Passes Away In Lucknow

Sad news has come from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Uma Rani, the wife of retired IAS officer Chandrashekhar Dwivedi, passed away today, Saturday, in the city.

Former IAS officer Chandrashekhar Dwivedi’s wife, Uma Rani Dwivedi, has passed away. She died on March 8, 2025, in Lucknow. Her death has brought sorrow to the entire family. Her youngest son, Gaurav Dwivedi, is the former vice-chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council and an advisor to the Chhattisgarh government.

About Chandrashekhar Dwivedi

Uma Rani’s husband, retired IAS officer Chandrashekhar Dwivedi, also passed away in 2016 at the age of 85. During his career as an IAS officer, he held important positions, including City Magistrate in Lucknow, ADM City in Allahabad and Kanpur, District Magistrate of Ghazipur, and Director of Local Bodies. He was cremated in Bhainsakund, Lucknow.

Their youngest son, Gaurav Dwivedi, was appointed vice-chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council in 2016. Gaurav has also worked as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s company and has collaborated with film director Sudhir Mishra.
