Purvanchal Expressway: Indian Air Force fighter jets landed on the airstrip of Purvanchal Expressway on Saturday as part of an Emergency Exercise between civil and military functionaries.

As per official information, Mirage fighter jets have touched the expressway airstrip so far.

Earlier before the exercise, officials of the Indian Air Force conducted an inspection of the airstrip built on the expressway. The aircraft operation was a part of the regular training of civil and military functionaries. 

“As part of regular training and towards increasing cohesion between civil and military functionaries, aircraft operations will take place over the Purvanchal expressway,” said Defence PRO.

According to Defence PRO, several types of aircraft including helicopters and fighters will take part in the exercise.
