Ghaziabad: In Ghaziabad, near Delhi, a married father of two shot a minor girl in the head and fled the scene. The incident occurred in the Dundaheda area under the Crossing Republic police station.
Ravi, aged 24, shot the minor due to a romantic dispute. After being shot, the minor was admitted to MMG Hospital and later referred to GTB Hospital in Delhi. Currently, her condition remains critical.
The mother told the police that he was pressuring her daughter for marriage. He came home late Wednesday evening and said, “Arrange Preeti’s marriage with me.” Then she replied, “You are the father of two children, why should I arrange my daughter’s marriage with you?”

After this, the accused said, “I don’t have money, just let me sit in the auto outside.” As soon as Devanti Devi came out of the house, the accused took the opportunity and shot at Preeti. Before Devanti could understand anything, the accused fled from the scene and escaped from the spot.
DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) Gramin, Vivek Chandra Yadav, informed that the police received information that a minor girl had been shot. Subsequently, a police team reached the scene and admitted the girl to the hospital. He mentioned that the accused Ravi has been arrested, and an illegal weapon was recovered from him.
The father of the minor girl stated that he works in a private company and was informed about his daughter being shot. His wife has gone to the hospital with the girl. Currently, the girl is undergoing treatment at the hospital, and her condition is serious. According to the information available so far, the victim had come into contact with the accused about 6 months ago.
