In a gory incident, a man allegedly killed his five-year-old daughter in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur. The man also chopped up her body into four pieces. The police said that the man, Mohit, was angry with his daughter after she visited his neighbour with whom he had a tiff.
A senior police officer said they received a complaint about a missing girl near her home. They constituted a team to search for the girl and found her in pieces from bushes. They were sure the girl was murdered.
The police grilled several people in connection with the murder when the girl’s father disappeared. The father had given his phone to the girl’s mother and disappeared. The police connected the dots of the incident by interrogating his family members before the girl’s disappearance.
When the police interrogated him, he confessed to the crime and admitted to disposing of the body.
The police said that the man had a tiff with his neighbour and asked his daughter not to visit their place. On February 25, he saw his daughter returning from the neighbour’s home. He got angry and took his daughter to a secluded place and choked her to death. He threw her body in a mustard field.
