With an aim to make highway travel more convenient for private car, jeep and van drivers and simplify the toll payment process, the central government has introduced FASTag based annual toll pass. This Independence day it brings a annual pass with aim to make things more convenient.
This pass works with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, due to which the toll fee is automatically deducted from the prepaid account linked to the vehicle. This will save passengers from the hassle of recharging FASTag again and again.

Where Is This Pass Valid?
The annual pass is valid only at the toll plazas of National Highways and National Expressways. This pass will not be applicable on state government-run or private toll roads; normal FASTag charges will be applicable there.
How Can You Buy Pass?
- Go to Rajmarg Yatra app or NHAI/MoRTH website.
- Login with vehicle number and FASTag ID.
- Make sure FASTag is active and linked to the vehicle.
- Complete the payment of Rs 3000.
- The pass will be linked to your existing FASTag.
Who Can Use It?
Vehicle owners whose FASTag is linked to the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) are eligible for this pass. If your FASTag is issued only on the chassis number, then it is mandatory to update the VRN and mobile number.
Users who are already using FASTag do not need to get a new tag. If their KYC is updated, then this pass can be activated on their tag only.
This pass cannot be transferred to any other vehicle. Doing so can lead to FASTag being blacklisted. Also, vehicles whose information is incomplete (such as VRN or mobile number), will have to be updated first.
