The individual, a supporter of actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, took this drastic step in an attempt to attract Kalyan’s attention and request assistance with his issues.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Narsimha Murthy stated that the man named Chalam arrived at the petrol pump in the Simhachalam area of Visakhapatnam on Wednesday with a gas cylinder and lighter. He threatened to set himself on fire if his concerns were not addressed. He caused a commotion and threatened to set himself on fire unless his problems were resolved by Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The petrol pump staff and security personnel stepped in to stop him from proceeding with his threat. The police were notified, and Halchal was subsequently arrested. The police filed a case against Halchal for attempting self-harm and causing a public disturbance. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
