Jharkhand Chief Minister’s Office on Sunday filed an FIR in Ranchi after a man impersonating Chief Minister Hemant Soren allegedly made unsolicited phone calls to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and his wife. The action prompted CMO to register a complaint with Gonda police through the CM's private assistant, Jai Prasad.
What did the caller say?
According to the FIR, the caller phoned the Karnataka Deputy CM around 9:50 pm on Saturday, from mobile number 7439077614 and introduced himself as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The caller also expressed a desire to speak to DK Shivakumar's wife. The complaint also states that a similar attempt had earlier been made with former Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot, where an unknown person tried to pass himself off as Soren.
