New Delhi: In a shocking development, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the founder of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and a prominent Khalistani separatist, has released an incendiary audio message. In this message, he calls upon Kashmiri Muslims residing in the Valley to travel to Delhi with the sole aim of disrupting the upcoming G20 Summit. The two-day summit is scheduled to convene in New Delhi on September 9 and 10, drawing world leaders to the Indian capital.
Planning chaos in Delhi?
Pannun’s provocative message goes further, urging people to gather at Pragati Maidan, the summit’s venue, immediately following Friday prayers. Alarming in its intent, he also makes a brazen threat to hoist the Khalistani flag at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport.
Metro station defaced with Pro-Khalistan slogans
This revelation comes hot on the heels of a distressing incident where numerous metro stations across Delhi were found defaced with pro-Khalistan graffiti. Following investigations, law enforcement apprehended two individuals linked to the SFJ for their involvement in painting anti-India slogans. Authorities confirm that these slogans were executed at the direction of Gurupatwant Singh Pannu.
A nexus with international players
Officials are deeply concerned about Pannun’s audio message, suspecting it reveals his association with the ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) and its K2 (Kashmir-Khalistan) agenda. This alarming connection raises serious questions about external influences attempting to disrupt the peace and stability of the region.
Historic G20 Summit in Delhi
The forthcoming G20 Summit is a landmark event for India, hosting leaders from the G20 forum, with the notable exceptions of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The summit holds significance as it marks the first time the G20 has convened in India.
Robust security measures
In light of these threats and developments, security measures have been significantly heightened. Approximately 130,000 security personnel will be deployed to ensure the prevention of any infiltration, acts of terrorism, or sabotage. Authorities are also employing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to fortify security at event venues, leaving no room for lapses.
The world watches as India prepares to host the G20 Summit amid these challenges, with the nation’s security forces working tirelessly to ensure the safety and success of this globally significant event.
