Exit Polls 2024: NDA Making It In Tamil Nadu For FIRST Time!

The Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu took place in the first phase of the seven-phased elections on April 19. All 39 seats in the state went to polls simultaneously.

The Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu took place in the first phase of the seven-phased elections on April 19. All 39 seats in the state went to polls simultaneously.

Tamil Nadu has witnessed a fierce contest between the DMK-Congress alliance and the BJP-led NDA, which is seeking to expand its influence in the southern state.

India Today-AXIS Exit Polls

As per India Today-Axis Exit Poll poll NDA is expected to get 22% votes in Tamil Nadu while INDI Alliance will get around 46% vote share.

It indicates that the the ruling DMK is poised to secure approximately 20-22 seats out of the total 39 Lok Sabha seats contested in the southern state.

Its ally, the Congress, is expected to secure between 6 and 8 seats.

However, the BJP, running independently in the polls, also has reason to be optimistic, with projections indicating it may secure between 1 and 3 seats.

TV9 – POLSTRAT Exit Polls

As per Polstart -TV9 Exit Polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is anticipated to make gains, securing 4 seats out of the total 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. Meanwhile, Congress is projected to win the solitary seat in Puducherry, as per TV9-Polstrat.

NDA- 22.43 % (4 Seats)

INDI ALLIANCE – 42.03% (35-39 Seats)

According to C Voter’s forecast, the INDI bloc is expected to secure 37-39 seats, the NDA alliance may secure up to 2 seats, and the AIADMK may not win any seats.

NEWS 24 – TODAY’S CHANAKYA Exit Polls

AIADMK- 21% ± 3% (o±2 Seats)
DMK- 40% ± 3% (29± 5 Seats)
NDA- 34% ±3%  (10± 4 Seats)

During election campaigns, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made several visits to this southern state as the BJP aimed to establish a presence. Nonetheless, the primary contenders remained the Dravidian heavyweights, DMK and AIADMK.
